Ever since I saw ‘The Human Centipede’ I told myself that ‘this was as bad as it gets’, I honestly felt that I would never again see a movie that could shake me to my core like HC did… Oh how I was wrong. Somewhere along the under-side of the interwebs, I stumbled upon a few board posts talking about this outrageous movie that is the most hardcore movie ever made. Naturally inquisitive of this type of review, I made it my mission to catch this movie. Honestly though, this was a really great movie, Im talking Hollywood quality, full on budgeted movie. Normally when you get a film with this type of content, what gets put out on film ends up looking like something that some guy filmed with his home video camera, everyone drives crap cars, and the in-film technology is beyond crap… Not this one, the rich bad guys drive badass cars, these guys also live in a badass mansion, everything is truly believable. Now this is the first Serbian film I have ever seen, but I must say they really raised the bar for everyone in Horror film making. One thing to be noted though, this movie has many things that well in some areas of the country will be considered downright illegal to show, when it is fully released in the states I expect that much will be cut short… though what you see you will never forget.
The movie opens with a beyond cheesy foreign porno with a dude gettin nasty with a chick in a back alley. Now at first I figured this was part of the movie and was initially disappointed with the presentation, then the camera zooms back and you can clearly see a tv playing the porn, then zoom a bit further back and there is a child no older than 8 or 9 watching this full on XXX movie. Very shortly the two parents walk in barely disturbed that their child was watching a porn, and it is discovered that the child’s daddy was the main actor in the film… Apparently he ‘left it out on accident’. As the story progresses, it turns out that Milos, our porn star/dad had been a porno star to beat all porno stars and was a master of his craft. He had made a boatload of money and retired to raise his family, but now money was running out and poverty is beginning to be felt… and this is when he receives a call from one of his old co-stars about a new and lucrative job opportunity. Down on his luck and desperately needing the money, Milos decides to meet up with his old friend and at least hear what she has to say. Come to find out there is a new ambitious film maker out to re-define the world of porn, and he needs Ole Milos to make it happen… hmmmm
With the new job on the horizon Milos is refreshed, the next day he is picked up by a black luxury vehicle and brought to the film maker’s mansion to discuss this new job opportunity. Basically Milos is promised a sum of money that was apparently too large to mention in the movie, but it doesn’t matter, all you know is that its allot… enough for a guy to sign up for a porno that he has no idea what it is about. Ya, that’s right, this porn apparently won’t work if Milos knows what is going on, and only the director and film makers know the “script”. But, as it is in life money sometimes clouds our better judgment. Its around this time in the movie that Milos has a training montage to get back into porno shape again, sits down with his boy for a masturbation chat, and meditates a little bit in the 3 days before shooting… good times.
Now from this point on, the film takes a wicked nosedive into craziness, and things start to get increasingly weird. FOr his first shoot, Milos is brought to an orphanage for abandoned children, where he walks in on a Mom being beaten in front of her daughter while all of the camera crews and such film Milos doing pretty much nothing about it, he is eventually brought into a dark room where the lady who was being beaten crawls to him and starts preparing him for the fellatio he is about to receive. During this time, her daughter becomes visible on the tv monitors also in the room, seems kind of weird to him, but he goes along with it for a bit… then blamo, the daughter is sitting in the room with them watching, and is kind of into it. Milos at this point pushes the woman away and is getting pissed off about children being around, while he is yelling and complaining the woman who was fellating him takes a massive bite into his love muscle, at which point the camera crews and little girl are telling him to “hit her” so after a little bit of having his manhood munched on, Milos punches her in the face a few times, finishes up and storms out of the shoot. Now I am summing up at this point because there is allot of great camera work done and mood setting going on that I can’t really put into writing very well, but he goes home and decides there is no way he can finish the movie… kids are off limits. Wanting to be a respectable actor, he decides to deliver the news in person, which seemed to be accepted at first… Then the director tailspins into insanity going on and on about how is revolutionizing porn, and taking it to levels nobody has ever seen before. It’s right now that the lights go down in the office and a movie screen starts to drop from the ceiling, for the first time, one of the director’s films is about to air. What happens from here is probably one of the most disturbing things I have ever seen, NOTHING can prepare you for what happens in this video, suffice it to say that a young woman is seen giving birth, when the man who delivers the baby takes it aside and has sex with it to death. Possibly the most disturbing image I have ever seen EVER! No Milos has definitely seen enough of what his director calls “Newborn Porn”. Pissed beyond anything Milos doesn’t even care about the money anymore, he just wants out … but wait something doesn’t feel right, yup sure enough Milos was drugged, and approached now by the porno style “Doctor” that has been accompanying them on the shoots…
Fast forward three days and Milos awakens in his bed covered in blood and beat to hell, left to wonder ‘wtf happened’? The rest of the movie is an out of control climax where Milos has to unveil what he has done for the past three days while he was super drugged by these film makers. I don’t really want to spoil the rest for those who want to see it, but be warned there is necrophilia, bouts of planned incest, incidental incest, rapes upon rapes, several different versions of “fucked to death”, and there is a skull farking scene too.
Ya Ya I know, what kind of asshole would watch this right? Well that is where the brilliant film making comes in… because you can’t help BUT watch it. Its one thing to make shock movies with bizarre stuff put in it with the sole purpose of making people uncomfortable and shocking everyone… But its an entirely different animal when you can present these horrible things in a way that even though everyone watching it is morally offended and can’t take anymore, they do because they want to see how it ends… And I will say this, the ending is one of those that you will never in your life forget, it will ALWAYS be with you.
